Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, phone number and booking details when you make a reservation, purchase a voucher, or contact us. We also collect limited technical and usage information through cookies and, where you consent, analytics. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
Why we use it, and our lawful bases
- To take and manage your reservation, including confirmations and reminders — performance of a contract;
- To process and fulfil gift-voucher purchases — performance of a contract;
- To respond to your enquiries and to run and secure the website — our legitimate interests;
- To use analytics cookies — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time;
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations — legal obligation.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: ResDiary for reservations; our gift-voucher provider (VoucherConnect) for voucher purchases; and our website host and analytics providers. Payment card details are processed securely by our booking and voucher providers and are not stored by us. We do not sell your personal data.
International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision (for example the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected — for example, reservation records for a reasonable period after your visit, and financial records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@customshousebaltimore.com.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can help. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission — 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28, or dataprotection.ie.
